
MOLASSES BREAD
"A quick comfort food with whole grain nutrition. It will be in the oven in less than 5 minutes. Guaranteed to chase the blues away!"
*Preheat oven to 325.
Drop into large bowl and whisk:
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup unbleached flour
2 Tablespoons wheat germ
1 tsp. baking soda
Combine in second bowl:
1 cup dark molasses
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup nonfat milk
Mix all together, and apply baking spray to 9 x 5 pan. Place in pan and bake 1 hour and test. May take up to an additional 15 minutes. Yield: 12 slices
